- Taking the singular ensemble concept one step farther was solving the problem of live performance. Although the original intent was to have the ability to mix electronics with acoustic instruments, in the end, percussion won out, and the focus was modified. Through live looping techniques, along with effects and various instrumentation variances, these 21st century fugues and canons were all recorded live, with no overdubs or post-processing.
