On a normal day in Mid-November, 1959, Perry Smith met Richard Hickock at the Little Jewell in Olathe, KS. Within a matter of hours they would murder the Clutter family in Holcomb, KS and would soon become the subject of Truman Capote's famous non-ftcion novel, In Cold Blood. Five-and-a-half years after the slaying, Hickock was executed by hanging and thirty-eight minutes later Smith was also dead on the gallows.
On a similar day in November, Fifty-Two years after the deaths of the Clutter family, a recording was made at the spot of the former Little Jewell, where the killers started their journey.
